Coll Medical Practice

The Partners

GPs Matthew Williams, Colette Williams, Kenny Deuchar and ANP Silvy Deuchar have taken over the running of Coll Medical Practice from 1st April 2025. Our partnership is strongly focused on family health. We will be providing clinical cover on the island regularly and also have trusted colleagues coming to the island to provide care for you, our patients. Our partnership will be a consistent point of contact for our patients and we endeavour to provide you with high quality and compassionate medical care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Practice Opening Hours

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9am to 12pm.

Please call during these hours for routine issues, prescriptions and results. Out with these hours, if you require medical attention please call the surgery phone number and you will be put through to the island clinician.

Extended-hours appointments are available on request — please speak to the surgery.

What3Words

All houses on the island have been allocated a What3Words location by the medical practice. This means when one of our patients calls for a home visit and you are at your usual home residence, we will know where to locate you. It is however helpful to please also download the what3words app. This is vital when locating a patient on the island if you are not at your usual home and you need more urgent treatment. The clinician you speak to will ask for your what3words location and if you have the information at first contact, it will help save time – Thank you

If you have a life threatening emergency please call 999 and then the island clinician. It is important that the 999 emergency services are notified of any serious events happening on the island so they can start to mobilise a team to come and assist us.

Clinician of the Week

Dr Kenny

Dr. Kenny Deuchar

Hi, I’m Dr. Kenny Deuchar – one of the GP partners here at the practice. I’ve been a GP for several years now and I really enjoy the variety that general practice brings. I am a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP). I also have a postgraduate diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine, and I’m trained in BASICS (pre-hospital emergency care).

As well as working in the practice, I’m involved in training the next generation of GPs and medical students, which I find really rewarding. I have also worked regularly in Out of Hours services and as a Crowd Doctor at events, so I’m used to seeing patients in a wide range of settings.

My special interests include urgent and unscheduled care, as well as joint and soft tissue injections, which can often help people manage pain or avoid more invasive treatments. I aim to provide friendly, straightforward care and to make sure you feel listened to and supported—whatever you’ve come in to discuss
